Lavender and Honey Kitchen was birthed out of a desire by owner, Naomi Gingerich to bring the heritage recipes of her childhood to modern day dinner tables. Raised in the simplistic lifestyle of the “Plain People” with a passion for home-cooked meals, Naomi began a food blog and Instagram account in 2014, The Cooks in the Kitchen, as a way of chronicling her kitchen endeavors. The idea for a pop-up bakery came after her oldest daughter, Natalie, moved back to Winston-Salem and the two of them began thinking of something they could do together. It seemed only natural to share the sweets which had become popular on Naomi’s blog and social media accounts.
The pop-up bakery offers sweet and savory pies, cakes and confections which Naomi and Natalie bake from scratch using organic flour and wholesome, fresh ingredients. Their artisan pies will compliment your next dinner party, potluck or celebratory event while their authentic Amish Cinnamon Rolls will likely become your Saturday morning staple. And their cakes? Let's just say the choices are as fascinating as the flavor combinations.
